Remembering the Fallen: on this day in 2003, two Royal Navy Sea King Mk 7 Airborne Early Warning helicopters from 849 Squadron A Flight collided over the northern Arabian Gulf. Lost were: (top row) Lieutenants Philip Green, 30, Antony King, 35, Andrew Wilson, 36; (bottom row) James Williams, 28, Marc Lawrence, 26 and Philip West, 32. Also U.S. Navy Lieutenant Thomas Adams, 27. From the Officer Commanding of 849 Squadron: "To our fallen comrades from 849 A Flight we say: Rest in peace in the knowledge that your professionalism, dedication and ultimate sacrifice will never go unrecognised or be forgotten."
